Students’ Choice

Students have their own competition programme at the Movies that Matter Festival. 'Students' Choice' was created in 2009 together with De Haagse Hogeschool (The Hague University).

A jury made up of five students from De Haagse Hogeschool will choose three films and/or documentaries out of a pre-selection taken from the festival programme.

This year's selection consists of Mugabe and the White African, Reporter and The Red Chapel.

Students can attend one of the screenings of each of these films free of charge. Owners of a student card Students can obtain free entrance tickets for the screenings by presenting their student card at the cash desk. Reserving is still recommended. The screenings are:

  • Mugabe and the White African, Tuesday March 30, 19.00 h Filmhuis Den Haag 4
  • The Red Chapel, Friday March 26, 21.30 h, Filmhuis Den Haag 1
  • Reporter, Wednesday March 31, 21.00 h, Filmhuis Den Haag 6

  • During the festival, the members of the jury will explain their selection by giving a short introduction before the screening of these films.
